CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is proud to announce the generous donation of $10,000 from the BHE Renewables Foundation to support its mission of advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
The funds will play a vital role in expanding CASA's programs, including the launch of the Comfort Dog Home Visitation Program featuring Tank, a specially trained therapy dog. This innovative program aims to provide comfort and emotional support to children during home visits, helping them feel safe and valued during challenging times.
"We recognize the value in supporting CASA's mission," said Gina Rooney, Senior Foundation & Community Engagement Manager for the BHE Renewables Foundation. "This is an investment in the wellbeing of Imperial Valley children - from buying shoes, to providing transportation to court appointments and other impactful ways CASA is improving their quality of life."
The BHE Renewables Foundation is proud to invest in nonprofit organizations across the country funding programs and providing resources to strengthen communities in which BME Renewables LLC's employees and customers live and work.
"We are deeply grateful for this contribution," said Alex Cardenas, Executive Director of CASA. "This donation ensures that CASA can continue to advocate for the most vulnerable members of our community, providing resources and support to help children thrive."
CASA's work is driven by dedicated volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children involved in the foster care system. With the support of partners like BHE Renewable Foundation, CASA can expand its outreach and bring hope to even more children in need.
